When you have kids and have a significant other with Autism. It can be difficult to parent together because of the Autism. The baby doesn't understand why the other parent is distant from them when they get upset. Reason the parent that does have the Autism walks away or can't handle the baby crying because of the loudness. They can also be very good at parenting as well there's no reason they can't raise a child. My significant other like I've said before having come a long way since they met me and our child. Something that we are watching as well is if our child gets Autism just from one side of the family which is possible.

Aspergers
For instance, in my family my significant other has Aspergers syndrome. We go day by day with raising our child together. He can only handle her for small period of times, but he has gotten better over the year. Reason is because he can't handle loud noises for long periods of time. Our child can have some outbursts but sometimes he can just calm our child down. So with Aspergers when your born you could have birth defects. I am going to give you a link for a video about Aspergers. I would like to give thanks to OAR Organization For Autism Research for the video.

Introduction about me and why I picked the Autism with significant other and child raising together
My name is Sam, doing this blog for other couples that have kids to offer information about Autism. I have a significant other who has Aspergers, and we have a child together. I have learned it's hard to get my other involved with our child because of his Autism. I just want to be able to inform others, that there are others out there, that deal and maybe see how they deal with the interaction between child and significant others. At first my significant other was not involved we had separated. Now we have gotten back together, and we are working on our relationship also the relationship between them and our child. It has gotten easier and they have come a long way from the start to now. I want others to know it does get easier to help your significant once you understand the type of Autism they have.
